I was born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia, where my interest in photography began at a young age. Although life and career responsibilities temporarily pulled me away from that passion, it never truly left me. I spent 24 years working in health services and dedicated 28 years as a first responder, beginning as a volunteer firefighter in 1991 and later serving as a full-time fire captain from 2005 until my retirement in late 2019. While this work was deeply rewarding, it also took a toll on my physical and mental well-being. In retirement, I returned to photography—particularly nature photography—finding peace and inspiration in the beauty that surrounds us. Through my images, I hope to share that sense of connection and appreciation for the natural world. Thank you for viewing my work, and please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Every photograph is an invitation to slow down and truly see the world around us. Through my lens, I seek to capture the quiet beauty, raw emotion, and untold stories found within our natural landscapes and the wildlife that calls them home. My work is guided by a deep sense of wonder and respect for the natural world, with the hope of inspiring others to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the environment that sustains us all.
I’ve been a dedicated Canon shooter since 2005 and expanded into Canon’s mirrorless system shortly after the launch of the EOS R series. What I love most about mirrorless is the ability to see my exposure and creative choices instantly through the viewfinder, ensuring I capture the shot exactly as I envision it.
I’m excited to see what innovative cameras and lenses Canon introduces in the future as the system continues to evolve. If you have any questions about my gear or setup, feel free to reach out via email—I’m always happy to help and will get back to you as soon as possible.
